Welcome to Berkhamsted Sports Centre Swimming Club (BSCSC) Website

The Club led by ASA Level 3 Coach, Geoff Wood, was set up around 1995 and is part funded by Dacorum Sports Trust and is affiliated to the ASA(Amateur Swimming Association). The club is best described as a family club and is proud of its caring and friendly atmosphere. However we also take part in a wide range of county level competitions, open meets and local galas.

Contratulations to Emily Kiernan, Ben Rochford & Eddie Duncombe for competing in the County Schools' cross country event running for Ashlyns & Bridgewater.

Ben finished 2nd and picked up Silver and also qualified for the Nationals.

Berkhamsted Sports Centre SC’s amazing start to 2012 continued unfettered at the weekend. The group of local swimmers dominated the second round of their Herts League campaign almost as much as they did the first round, winning 26 of their races and, importantly in the overall result, 13 of the 17 relays.
11 personal bests, 11 relay club bests and an improved 16 years age group 100 backstroke club record by Tim Warr, were some of the bare statistics of an exceptional night of excitement.
44 year old, Andy Chambers set the wins in motion in only the second event of the night lowering his own pb to 58.92 as he won going away in the last 10m.

Watford Swimming Club County Qualifier meet

In another incredibly successful weekend of swimming the simple statistics of 30 swimmers, 170 swims, 15 club records, 97 pbs, 2 Regional Qualifying times, 21 new county times (including 3 swimmers for who qualified for the first time this year) and 34 improved CQTs along with 14 Golds, 16 silvers and 12 bronzes cannot give any indication of how well the youngsters competed. It would be impossible to list every highlight, there were just too many.

Herts Major League - Round 1

Following on from their achievement in the National Arena League, BSCSC continued their successful season with a stunning victory in the Opening round of the Division 2 of the Herts Major League. With Assistant Coach, Martin Fuller leading the team in the absence of their Head Coach, Geoff Wood recovering from an eye operation, the squad showed its strength in depth across the age groups to claim 15 individual wins and a staggering 11 relay victories.
